A horticultural triangle! Fulco Wijdooge & Joep van den Bosch, Yameng Fei and Zhoucen Feng with Ridder Group. Fulco's talk on developments in greenhouse horticulture was very well visited and received.
The Horti China took place in the newly built Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition.
The total event, the Asia Agro Food Expo 2019 (AAFEX), includes the VIV Qingdao, Horti China and China Food Tech, uniting around 1,000 suppliers in Agricultural and Food production technology.
For the Horti China about 150 suppliers united in hall N2.
The Shouguang Vegetable Industry Holding Group was present. They operate many farms in China.
They showed their peppers, one of their greenhouse crops and a growing to the Chinese market.
Michael Oates and Ivan Peltekov with their Haygrove team. They company both supplies Chinese growers and operates their own soft fruit farms.
Rozanna Dabrera & Wanwisa Wongkasit with VNU Exhibitions. The next Horti Asia, that they are promoting these days, will be held from 07-09 May 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Guus van Berckel with Griendtsveen and member of the International Peatland Society. A few days before the Horti China exhibition started, a field excursion and symposium for the peat industry were already hold as an introduction for the exhibition. On September 18th, the 2019 International Peat Symposium was grandly opened in Qingdao. Nearly 200 people from around the world, peat producers, agents, peat users, experts and scholars, government leaders and experts all attended the meeting. New insights and developments were shared about the current peat industry.
